1. How do I get more followers?

If your strategy focuses on connection, learning, and making people feel something, your follower count will grow naturally.
What NOT to do? Buy followers. It’s a waste of money. They won’t engage, they won’t buy, and they’ll make your account look dodgy.
What DOES work?
✅ Posting consistently
✅ Engaging with your audience (replying to comments, DMs, etc.)
✅ Creating content people want to share (think valuable tips, behind-the-scenes moments, and relatable posts that make people go, “That’s so me!”)
And most importantly? Patience. Growth takes time.
2. Are hashtags still relevant?
The short answer to this is yes – but not in the way they used to be.
Hashtags now help categorise content rather than directly boosting reach. So, be strategic! Use niche, specific hashtags that your audience actually searches for. For example, instead of just #coffee, a local café could benefit more from #LondonCafeOwners. Always test different ones to see what works best for your account.
3. Should I post every day?
If you can post daily without losing your sanity (or quality), go for it! But if it’s stressing you out, 3-4 high-quality posts a week are much better than daily low-effort ones. Your audience values quality over quantity, and you won’t be stuck staring at a blank screen thinking, “What on earth do I post today?”
